pivot of perception
with Luisa Taina
This exhibition concept presents different mix media works of both two above mentioned new media artists. The works portray a research work and examination about light and its connection with different material which were created over the last years. The works consist of videos, installations, prints, photographs and light sculptures. Through different techniques of image processing like scanning or light reflection, the objects allow having an insight into other perspectives and abstract imagination as observer. The common aesthetics in all the works is the merging point of different behaviour and emergence from a kind of simplistic sources. The works represent minimalistic applications according to the material but output a largely visual, reflective and reflexive qualities. Through particular observation, the works open different and sometimes emergent feedback which creates sensitive experiences of the observer's perception.
Artificial surfaces are creating various landscapes, structures and form from real movement and material. Body scans are showing intimate movements and moments on a landscape of human interaction. A reflective abstraction implicates different personal recreation and observation. Both qualities which can be found in the videos and collages as well in the physical reflection in the following objects, that are to be presented, are brought into the foreground in the exhibition concept. Different light installations open through reflective landscapes and surfaces a new space which doesn't exist in the physical world and visualises non-existant images and spaces. The idea is to find different visualisations for unseen objects, spaces and images which results in universal-like abstractions and an unreal environment.
