SEMI ALGORITHMIC DIGITAL PRINTS
Mutations is a series of digital hand drawings that were created from randomised algorithms with the aim of generating an organic way for the creation of colourful and formless images. The results were drawn by hand in a digital surface which were distorted by random inputs from a specifically adapted algorithm that adds an organic and natural form into the image. Even of its abstract and cold digital parts, mutations aims to recreate a livid piece of nature. The images reflect the simplicity of colours and forms that create harmonic relation between digitisation and nature. Inspiration comes from organism, bacterias and other organic substances, that generate an evolution of form and material. It is a representation of the ugliness and dysfunction, disease and cancer, transformed into simplicity and beauty. Even the most shocking form of livid organism, somehow, creates an elegance of internal movement and evolution.
